Music Theory Lessons

<All instruments welcome!>

I’ve had quite a few students recently express interest in learning music theory more deeply. A good grounding in theory can be so helpful in a variety of areas including songwriting, improvisation and school or uni work (eg. GCSE music). It’s also just satisfying to know what’s going on behind your favourite songs!

The RSL Popular Music Theory books are a great way of understanding how music works and they relate directly to modern styles of music. You can read more about them here: https://www.rslawards.com/learn-music-theory/ They provide a useful framework, but I’m happy to help with other areas of theory as requested.

I provide music theory lessons online or in person and they are £36 per hour or £18 per half hour. Please get in touch for more info or if you have any further questions!
